The Ministry of Education will be providing up to $12 million in the form of a 1:1 matching grant for funds raised by the community over the next 5 years. This is to support the efforts of community organisations to create an environment conducive to the learning of Chinese Language and its culture within and beyond schools. This was announced by Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education, and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), Ms Grace Fu, at the Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) Fortnight at River Valley Primary School.
